This website provides information about virtual learning in the Fall. As you might have heard, Governor Newsom announced on Friday, July 17th that any district whose schools are in a county that is on the state “watch/monitoring” list will not be able to open for in-person learning until they are off that list for 14 days. Our Board, on July 10th had already decided and voted on starting the school year with 100% virtual learning. This means that we have already begun preparing for virtual learning as well as responding to the state’s new requirements. POUSD teachers, administrators, and other school staff are preparing a strong virtual learning program to begin on August 17th, 2020. Here is a brief overview of what school will look like in the fall based on the actions by the Board on July 10th, 2020:
