POUSD Transitional Kindergarten
Our TK Philosophy:
Transitional Kindergarten blends social and emotional skills with academic learning by creating a space that is responsive to the unique needs of young students. The TK physical environment promotes movement, flexibility, and is a space that is designed specifically for TK students. Students will be given choices, ample modeling and support to advance social and emotional skills. Our program empowers students to explore and develop their love of learning. Lessons will emphasize play-based learning, hands-on experiences, art, engineering, social play, music, movement, and problem solving.
