We offer a continuum of programs and services in the Piner-Olivet Union School District.
- Piner-Olivet Union School District has a Resource Specialist program at each school site and a Special Day Class program on the Jack London Elementary Campus. Every student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in the district receives specialized instruction.
- All of our staff use technology in their classes so that students can participate in the curriculum with technology and access specialized programs.
- Our special education department employs highly qualified special education teachers, psychologists, speech therapists. School based occupational therapy, physical therapy and Adaptive Physical Education services are available for those students requiring such services indicated on their IEP.
- We work in partnership with the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE), which operates specialized programs for students with more significant needs, and offer a variety of programs to all students in Sonoma County. As a district we house five SCOE classrooms in our District.
- We also work with Rincon Valley Partnership (RVP) which offers specialized programs to students three to five years with an IEP.
